Mason Sneed is a Vice President on the investment team.

Prior to joining Vortus, Mason was an Associate with Alvarez & Marsal’s Commercial Restructuring practice in Dallas, Texas, advising clients across a range of industries, including energy. As an Associate, he focused on financial forecasting, business plan development, liquidity management and working capital optimization.

Previously, Mason was a Senior Reservoir Engineer for Guidon Energy, a private equity-sponsored upstream operator. He focused on the company’s Permian Basin asset, where he worked on development plans, annual budgeting, and strategic acquisitions and divestitures. He began his career at Apache Corporation, working in various engineering roles with a focus on operations and asset development.

Additionally, he serves on the Board of Managers for Lake Worth Independent School District and the Board of Directors for the STAR Sponsorship Program.

Mason holds an MBA from Rice University and earned a Bachelor of Science in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University.
