Mason Sneed is a Senior Associate on the investment team.

Prior to joining Vortus, Mason was an Associate with Alvarez & Marsal’s Commercial Restructuring practice in Dallas, Texas, advising clients across various industries, including energy.  As an Associate, he focused on financial forecasting, business plan development, strategic analysis, liquidity management, corporate transformation initiatives, cost takeout, and working capital optimization.

Previously, Mason was a Senior Reservoir Engineer for Guidon Energy, a private equity-sponsored upstream operator. He focused on the company’s Permian Basin asset, where he worked on development plans, annual budgeting, and strategic A&D. He began his career at Apache Corporation, working in various engineering roles with a focus on operations and asset development.

Mason holds an MBA from Rice University and earned a Bachelor of Science in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University.
