Ryan Horstman joined Vortus Investments in 2024 and serves as the firm’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer. He is responsible for all finance, accounting, and tax reporting functions of the firm, including oversight and management of all compliance and regulatory aspects for Vortus and its funds. He has over 20 years of accounting and finance experience in the alternative asset management industry.

Prior to joining Vortus, Ryan served as the CFO and CCO for Trinity Hunt Partners, a middle market private equity fund based in Dallas, from 2018 to 2023. From 2013 to 2018, Ryan was the CFO and CCO for Kildare Partners, a private equity fund investing in distressed European real estate assets. Previously, he spent eight years at TPG, a leading global private investment firm, as Senior Director of Accounting and Finance. Prior to joining TPG in 2005, Ryan was a Senior Manager with KPMG’s Ft. Worth office where he focused on clients in the alternative asset management industry.

Ryan earned a B.B.A in accounting from Texas Christian University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
